Soccer/Futbol Virtual Replays

This is way cool. Even if you are a dyed-in-the-wool, red-blooded, I-don't-watch-any-Football-that-doesn't-involve-pads-and-cheerleaders kind of person, you have to admit that this is very neat. In case you didn't know the European Championships are going on right now and the BBC has posted a great use of Flash with Virtual Replays.

Pick a game, then a goal and watch a 3D replay. Then the fun begins...you can change the speed, and change the perspective of the camera. Even better, pick a player and see the whole play develop from that player's perspective. Try the goal scorer, or even better, the goalie. This is a great use of Flash, even if you have no interest in soccer (but why wouldn't you?).

Hey, ESPN, get your act together and use this technology after next year's Super Bowl!

Medscape Article on MedBlogs -- New and Improved!

After posting about this article about Medical Blogs on Medscape, one of my intrepid readers pointed out that there were no actual links to the blogs that were written about....um, oops. Anyway, to prove that I am nothing if not responsive, you can now read the story with the addition of a new web technology that I believe some are calling "links." Thanks to Alwin for telling me about this cool new advancement in computing. :-)
