A few things...

...I've been meaning to post lately (pretty randomly):

  • Yahoo's new TV Listings application is a perfect example of the theory I laid out just about one year ago. Too Much Ajax is Abrasive. Hey, Yahoo Guys: I understand (maybe more than most) that you want to get stuff out there and see how it works, but please don't inflict this kind of buggy beast upon us. I know how hard it is to make the perfect TV listings application, but you have fallen in love with the technology here and are missing the boat on what people really want to do with a TV Listings app.
  • Go get this year's edition of Uncle Mark's Holiday Gift Guide. He's so right on the money this year that I couldn't even find anything to disagree with. And I tried... I really did!
  • I recently discovered Threadless. I know I'm way behind the curve on this one, but -- jeez -- get yourself over there and buy a T-shirt for God's sake. This stuff is fantastic. I bought this one for my daughter and every time we talk about it, we giggle for about 10 minutes
  • 0605823_605823r1022_1 Tomorrow is my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. 50? Yes, 50!! Unbelievable. We are celebrating with a big party on Sunday. Amazing. I hope Karen and I both stick around long enough to get there. Only 36 more years to go....(!)Pic10000014a

Santa Fe for Thanksgiving

Img_1057Spent Thanksgiving with the family in Santa Fe (of all places!). Wow. It was fantastic. We stayed at the Inn of the Anasazi right on the Santa Fe Town Plaza. It was a great Inn with superior service.

The highlight of our trip was a hike through the Tsankawi Ruins. We all (including kids from 7-12) had a great time and I can't recommend this hike any higher.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip...One I would like to repeat again sometime. I've attached a few pictures for your edification. click any of them for a larger size...enjoy!

Related is the first new book I've added in a really long time to the sidebar of recent reads, Blood & Thunder, a history of the American West. What perfect book to read while flying back to and from New Mexico. Again, highly recommended.

Thanks, Catalyst Group....

Wow. I've appeared in the blogroll of Catalyst Group Design, a company whose blog I've sometimes referenced here. In there right next to some of the blogs I read religiously (Signal v. Noise, Paid Content, Zeldman). What an honor! Thanks, Guys! I've returned the favor. ;-)
