Gateway Connected DVD -- Close, but no cigar

Via PVRblog,Gateway's Connected DVD player looks really cool. A progressive-scan DVD player that can hook up to your wi-fi network and stream music, pictures and video through to your tv and stereo. BUT, I look at the documentation and see all these hooks into Microsoft-based networks and Windows apps. Decidedly not meant for out-of-the-box hookup to my nice Apple machines. Oh, I'm sure someone will figure out how to make it work with iTunes, iMovie and iPhoto, but will it be worth the effort? How about it Apple? Give me a box that does this -- without the hacks.
