So, now that Jacob has Medlogs cookin' again, he's put up a Medical Weblog FAQ that you should go read if you want a quick explanation/history of where this category of blogs has been (and where it's going). I'm honored to be singled out as one of the first non-physician authored medical blogs. Not sure if that's true, but the good thing about the blogosphere is that if it's not, someone will invariably correct it. I also noticed that Dave Winer pointed at the Medlogs FAQ this morning, so that should bode well, traffic and visibility-wise.
I know my posting has been pretty sporadic, and my medically-related posts have been downright next to invisible, but I hope to get back on the horse and ride a bit faster in the coming weeks. As it is right now, I'm getting a ton of traffic from people who are also trying to figure out what happened to MacOS Rumours. No one seems to know the real story, but it looks to me like they are gone for good.
"Also inspired by Winer, Jacob Reider's weblog (ok .. that's me .. but I sound more important in the 3rd person, don't I?) was first published in its current form on November 14, 1999. I think that this makes it the second (and longest running) medical weblog, but I'd be happy to be corrected!"
Yeah, he beat me by a couple of weeks.
