Just wrapping up a few things here during my last two days at Medscape. Definitely feeling that odd sensation of happy/sad whenever you leave one place and start at another. Here's a quick round up of some of the stuff I've been able to get out the door here (before I go out the door!).
In conjunction with Nurses Week (click that link for Medscape's coverage), we launched a brand, spankin' new Nursing Blog called In Our Own Words. Think of this like a giant group blog made up of nurses from all over the world, each contributing pieces on what they do and why they do it. It's quite fascinating and a great experiment for Medscape. Regular readers of this site know that I've been trying to figure out ways to integrate blogs into the site and this is a good start -- it's definitely the right format for the right reasons. Go check it out.
Medscape RSS Feeds are now "My Yahoo" compatible. For whatever reason, My Yahoo would not add our RSS feeds because they had upper case letters in their URLs. Now the feeds are available in both all lower case AND mixed case urls. Pick your poison, and start adding them to your My Yahoo page. I know it'll be the best way for me to stay on top of medical news after I leave.
